Car sharing is a service that is rapidly gaining popularity in Ukraine. It is still poorly known to modern Ukrainian car enthusiasts, which is why many questions arise that need to be answered. In particular, in this article we will consider the main pros and cons of this service compared to standard taxi services.
Disadvantages of car sharing
The first and most serious disadvantage is the fact that you are driving yourself. Therefore, the driver is responsible for personal safety, receiving fines and entirely for the safety of the vehicle. Things are not so simple with insurance either. The deductible for CASCO in the standard tariff is limited to 20 thousand UAH. If you want to get insurance with a zero deductible, you will have to pay more. Another point is the untested and hidden mechanism for writing off funds from the client's card. Scratches, abrasions, paint chips - the consumer will have to pay for this, as well as for fines or parking. Moreover, bills that, for example, in the case of parking will come to the name of the service provider, can be written off from the client's account retroactively.
Advantages of car sharing
Along with the above disadvantages, it is worth noting a number of advantages that no taxi can provide. The user of the car sharing service pays exclusively for the actual time of
car rental and kilometers. This service eliminates the need to purchase expensive personal transport for company employees. There are examples in world practice where the vehicle fleets of large companies consist entirely of vehicles rented under car sharing conditions. In fact, large companies, through this service, have relieved themselves of the responsibility of constantly refueling the car, monitoring its technical condition and other nuances. In other words, there is a request for a car from a certain employee of the company - he receives a fully prepared vehicle at his disposal. No request – no need to pay extra for service, insurance, etc.
