Big players meet to make car rental more affordable
The Ukrainian Lessors Association (UUL) organized a meeting of the executives of the largest car rental companies in the country. Among the participants was Stanislav Lutskovich, Chairman of the International Car Rental Association (ICRA). Among others, the meeting was attended by directors of such car rental companies as
Avis,
Europcar,
Sext,
BLS and others.
Car rental will be regulated at a new level
The result of long and painstaking negotiations was the establishment of a committee of car rental organizations. Created on the basis of the association of lessors, its main task will be to work on improving old and creating new laws in the legal field of rental companies. As is known, the legislative framework concerning
car rental in Ukraine has many gaps and inconsistencies. The formed committee will also deal with the following issues:
- organization of parking spaces for rental cars at all Ukrainian airports;
- stricter liability for delays in returning the car within the specified time;
- redirection of fines for violation of traffic rules from the lessor directly to the clients.
This type of cooperation between car rental companies is very productive and will henceforth be carried out systematically
